NHL insider Frank Seravalli listed Savard at the No. 14 spot on his latest Trade Targets board for Daily Faceoff.

In addition, he also has the potential to provide some offense from the point, which only adds to his value.
With the Canadiens currently rebuilding, they would be wise to hear offers for Savard. He is entering the final season of his deal and could land them multiple assets that would have the potential to help their future.
Savard, 33, appeared in 60 games this past season with the Canadiens, where he had six goals, 24 points, and 69 hits. Overall, it was another solid year for the 6-foot-1 defenseman, and the Canadiens would be wise to test his market because of it. Let’s see if they do just that from here.
